Will Johnson jogged onto the field for his first significant action as part of the Oklahoma defense and lined up across from Kansas State's Kody Cook for a third-and-5 play early in last week's game.
Johnson watched as K-State's Dominique Heath came in motion toward his side of the field and ran a swing route, then fought through Cook's block and tackled Heath just after he caught the ball, resulting in a four-yard loss.
“Got everything going,” Johnson said of the tackle-for-loss. “Got my nerves out. I wasn't as nervous from there on out because I had gotten rolling early.
