Sooner fans will get their first live look at the 2018 Sooner football team on Saturday in the annual rite of passage known as the Red-White spring game, which this year will showcase two relatively evenly balanced squads — one wearing OU crimson jerseys and the other white, with a few others sporting blue — in a more traditional game format and a standard scoring system.
The 2018 edition of OU football will be without quarterback Baker Mayfield for the first time in three seasons, which sets up a competition for the starting role between redshirt junior Kyler Murray and sophomore Austin Kendall.
