NORMAN — Orlando Brown remembers the first time he noticed that his size might be advantageous in sports.
As a preschooler in the Baltimore area, Brown was about 4-foot-10, so when a basketball game broke out at recess, he was easily able to steal the ball, back down other kids and slam dunk on them.
“I was killing those guys,” Brown remembered this week with a laugh. “That was my first memory of my height being an advantage for me.”
Today, Brown uses that size to protect Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield's blind side as the Sooners' starting left tackle.
