June 14 marks an important day for the Oklahoma football program. That is the day the SEC schedule will be announced. It’s a unique time for the storied conference because 2024’s schedule will be a temporary makeup. After all, it’s a division-less schedule.
The arrival of OU and Texas has been received with a mixed reception. Some current SEC programs are in the ‘who cares, we’ll take on anybody’ crowd (Bama, Georgia, LSU). Some are in the ‘no way, those guys don’t belong here’ crowd (Texas A&M, Mizzou). The rest of the SEC is in the ‘meh…” crowd.
