Oklahoma football: What do latest CFP rankings mean for OU?

Oklahoma football moved up another spot to No. 6 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings, but have they done enough to get within striking distance of the top four?

As expected, Oklahoma football benefitted from an Alabama loss in the latest College Football Playoff rankings, rising one spot from No. 7 to No. 6, two spots outside the top four.

Ohio State, LSU, Clemson, Georgia and Utah all come in ahead of the Sooners, meaning Oklahoma still doesn’t control its own destiny going into championship week.

What went right?

As stated above, the Sooners moved up a spot, but are still ranked one place below a Utah team with no wins over ranked foes.
