Oklahoma football: What created the pipeline from Lackawanna College to Norman?

NORMAN — Bill Bedenbaugh recruited the Lackawanna County, Pa., area during his two seasons as West Virginia's offensive line coach, and those relationships continue to pay off for Bedenbaugh's current employer.

Oklahoma has commitments from three Lackawanna College transfers — offensive lineman Ashton Julious and linebackers Emmanuel Beal and Kapri Doucet — and if all three stay committed for the next week, it will represent the first time the Bob Stoops-era Sooners have signed three players from the same school.

“We usually don't send three to one spot,” said Lackawanna coach Mark Duda. “We've done that to West Virginia.
