NORMAN — This is the second of three pregame blog posts from OU beat writers Ryan Aber and Jason Kersey.
Here, we look at two Oklahoma football players with something to prove Saturday evening against Iowa State.
ABER: Sophomore defensive tackle Matt Romar.
Romar and the rest of the defensive line have been very good for the Sooners but Iowa State's rushing attack and strong offensive line figure to put plenty of pressure on the interior of OU's defensive front. If Romar makes the plays he needs to early, both on his own and freeing up the middle linebackers to work, any thoughts of a Cyclones upset go out the window quickly.
