NORMAN — Merry Christmas, Sooner fans.
Oklahoma announced Thursday that former high school superstar quarterback Kyler Murray has signed with the Sooners and will be with the program during the 2016 spring semester.
Murray, who just completed his freshman season at Texas A&M, will sit out next season, per NCAA transfer rules.
Murray started three games and appeared in eight last season for the Aggies, passing for 686 yards and rushing for 335 while completing 59.5 percent of his pass attempts.
He threw five touchdown passes and seven interceptions.
“We’re very happy to welcome Kyler to our program and we look forward to working with him,” OU coach Bob Stoops said in a news release.
