Here are four takeaways from Oklahoma football’s disappointing 48-41 loss to Kansas State.
Oklahoma football was out-physicaled on both sides of the ball
The Wildcats dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball against an Oklahoma football team that had been bullying everyone it had played up to this point. Kansas State protected Skylar Thompson, paved the way for 213 rushing yards and held Oklahoma running backs to just 11 yards on six carries.
Kansas State was able to chew up the entire third quarter and build a 48-23 lead at one point, which turned out to be too much to overcome even with a frantic 18-point scoring run in the fourth quarter.
