The successful three-day span saw the No. 1 overall draft pick in Kyler Murray, two first round picks in Murray and Marquise Brown (No. 22 overall to the Baltimore Ravens) and four offensive linemen taken. Cody Ford was a first-round grade, but slipped into the early second round before getting scooped up by the Bills at No. 38 overall. Bobby Evans went No. 97 overall in the third round, Dru Samia was No. 114 in the fourth and Ben Powers was taken No. 123 in the fourth.
That means not only did all four draft-eligible starters from last year’s offensive line get drafted, they were all taken before the start of the third day, making this the most NFL-ready o-line the Sooners have fielded in well over 10 years.
