NORMAN — Sterling Shepard took to Twitter on Friday to thank OU football coaches, support staff and fans as he college football career comes to an end.
In the post, Shepard wrote that he wasn’t prepared for his career to end because he was so certain the Sooners would win the Orange Bowl and play for the national championship.
“I am having a hard time adjusting to the fact that I just played my last college game and am taking my jersey off for good,” Shepard wrote.
He continued, “My college career has been more than I ever imagined.
