NORMAN — Jim Heley and Jim White, the point men on Oklahoma's massive, $160 million south end zone makeover project, sat together at a table Thursday, answering questions and updating reporters on renovation progress.
Assuming all the deadlines are met — seemingly impossible considering all the things that can go wrong and cause delays — one reporter asked, when will everything be finished?
White, the project superintendent from Austin Commercial, began his answer, then offered a guarantee.
“To correct you, we are gonna meet all of our milestones,” White said.
Everyone associated with the Gaylord Family — Oklahoma Memorial Stadium renovations has said from the start that they planned to have the South end zone ready for the Sooners' 2016 home opener, and they sang the same tune Thursday afternoon.
