It wasn’t always pretty, but Oklahoma football took care of business on the road in a 45-20 win over Kansas.
A weather delay pushed the kickoff time back by a half hour, then the Sooners seemed to delay their own start,
After a rare Sooner punt, the Jayhawks marched 98 yards down the field largely behind the stellar running of Pooka Williams – who finished the game with 137 yards on 23 carries – to go up 7-0 in the first quarter. It was the first time the Sooners have trailed all year.
The Sooners responded, roaring to life to the tune of 42 consecutive points to put the game away early in the second half and bring on the second-stringers for most of the fourth quarter.
