Oklahoma football: Sooners pick up DE commitment

A day after losing one commitment, Oklahoma picked up another.

Amani Bledsoe, a four-star defensive end from Lawrence, Kan., committed to the Sooners on Thursday after OU coaches visited.

Bledsoe (6-foot-5, 272 pounds) also considered Kansas, Baylor, Oregon and North Carolina State among others.

The strongside end is No. 9 at his position nationally according to Rivals.com and the top prospect from Kansas.

Bledsoe announced his decision on Twitter, though Sooners coach Bob Stoops alluded to the commitment before Bledsoe had posted it.

Bledsoe's announcement comes a day after Chris Daniels, who had been OU's only defensive line commit, announced that he was reopening his recruitment.
