Kansas State is the Sooners opponent on Saturday, and, yes, the game is in Norman, where No. 8-ranked Oklahoma hardly ever loses. If you think this game is going to be a yawner, given that OU is a 25-point favorite and coming off a big, bounce-back road win over TCU, I’d be careful not to bet the mortgage on it.
A year ago at Kansas State, the heavily-favored Sooners found themselves down 21-7 just five minutes into the second quarter. Behind Baker Mayfield, Oklahoma came back to win the game, but only after a 22-yard touchdown run by Rodney Anderson broke a 35-all tie with just seven seconds remaining in the game.
