The Cowboys’ 16 points were the least Oklahoma State has scored in a Bedlam game since the Sooners shut out their rivals 27-0 in 1999.
The game looked early on like it would be a shootout. Oklahoma marched down the field in less than two minutes when Jalen Hurts scored from 28 yards out to make it 7-0.
Oklahoma State answered right back, going 89 yards on eight plays to tie the score at 7-7 with just six minutes gone in the game.
After an Oklahoma field goal, the Sooners defense stemmed the tide and seized the momentum when Parnell Motley scooped up a Cowboy fumble on the OU 44-yard line – Oklahoma would not give up another touchdown the rest of the way.
