The Blinn Junior College (Texas) defensive tackle is the 20th verbal committment for Oklahoma football’s 2020 class. He is the No. 8 overall player in this year’s junior college crop and the No. 2 overall JUCO player in the state of Texas. He will come to OU as a true sophomore with four years to play three.
Ellison’s verbal commitment gives Oklahoma football the No. 1 and No. 2 JUCO defensive tackles this season with Perrion Winfrey already verbally pledged to the Sooners. The move shows a continued effort from the coaching staff to bring in talent ready to play up front from day one in hopes of replacing the departing Neville Gallimore.
