Oklahoma football: Sooners flip four-star defensive end Mark Jackson from Texas A&M

NORMAN — Four-star defensive end Mark Jackson flipped his commitment from Texas A&M to Oklahoma on Monday, Jackson told the San Antonio Express-News.

Jackson took an official visit to Norman last weekend. He had been committed to the Aggies since last May.

Ranked as the 13th-best weakside defensive end nationally by Rivals.com, Jackson is from the San Antonio suburb of Cibolo, Texas. He played at Steele High School and is a two-time San Antonio Express-News defensive player of the year.

“I needed somewhere where I could not only play football, but be a better student, and I think OU (Oklahoma) is it,” Jackson told the newspaper.
