Trevor Knight entered 2014 with all kinds of hype after dominating Alabama in the Sugar Bowl the year before, but his season did not go as planned. Knight threw for 2,300 yards, with 14 touchdowns and 12 interceptions, and completed 56.6% of his passes. He missed the three final games of the regular season, and had a very poor performance—17-for-37 for 103 yards and three picks—in Oklahoma’s 40-6 loss to Clemson in the Russell Athletic Bowl.
This off-season, he’s been battling transfer Baker Mayfield for his starting job, and while Bob Stoops says that Mayfield has not won the job, there does seem to be a good chance that Knight does not start when the season rolls around.
