NORMAN — Derek Farniok has the most experience on the Oklahoma offensive line by someone other than returning starters Ty Darlington and Nila Kasitati.
Farniok, a senior from Sioux Falls, S.D., started one game as a sophomore in 2013 and played in every game last season. This year, with longtime starting tackles Daryl Williams and Tyrus Thompson departed to the NFL, Farniok is among the favorites to finally break through and become a full-time starter. “He just needs to get a little more confident in certain situations, but he’s doing a lot of good things,” offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh said.
