In its latest rankings released Tuesday, the committee dropped OU from No. 9 to No. 10, which probably was expected. But the committee also penalized unbeaten Baylor, dropping the Bears from No. 12 to No. 13 after a 29-23 triple-overtime survival at TCU.
That means OU’s path to a fourth playoff berth in five seasons just got tougher.
The Sooners play at Baylor on Saturday night and potentially could play the Bears again in the Big 12 Championship Game on Dec.
