NORMAN — Nick Hodgson was just sitting around the Oklahoma locker room in early July after a workout when Sooners coach Bob Stoops made the rounds. Stoops greeted a few players and asked how they were doing before he arrived at Hodgson’s locker.
“He asked me how I was kicking and I said, ‘Well,’” Hodgson said. “Then he told me he was going to try to put me on scholarship.” Simple. Easy. “That was a great feeling, I’ll tell you what,” Hodgson said. “Called mom and dad, told them. Mom screamed. “It was good to know they appreciate my value.
