The Sooners shored up its quarterback situation today with the announcement that Jalen Hurts will transfer to the University of Oklahoma, effective immediately.
Jalen Hurts posted a 26-2 record as the starting quarterback at Alabama and played a vital role in back-to-back National Championship campaigns earning the SEC Player of the Year award in 2017. He chose the Sooners over a long list of suitors that included Miami, Maryland and Florida State among others.
During his time at Alabama Jalen Hurts threw for 5,481 yards and 46 touchdowns compared to just 12 interceptions over his career with the Crimson Tide.
