2019 captain of the Oklahoma Sooners softball team Caleigh Clifton has been named one of four finalists for the Honda Sport Award, given to the top female athletes in each of the 12 NCAA-sanctioned sports.
Clifton, who wrapped up her illustrious collegiate career on Tuesday night in the WCWS, was named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and a unanimous NFCA All-American this season. Now she aims to become the second Sooner to claim the Honda Sport Award. Former OU pitcher Keilani Ricketts was a two-time recipient of this honor.
