Among those areas in which the Sooners command the top rung on the ladder in the 100-plus-year-old history of college football is in double-digit-win seasons.
No team in the country that is currently part of the Football Bowl Subdivision (previously referred to as NCAA Division I) has more 11-win seasons than the Oklahoma Sooners. OU has 23 such seasons in its history, 12 of which came during Bob Stoops’ 18 seasons as the Sooners’ head coach.
The Sooners also sit No. 1 in the country in the number of 10-win seasons with 37, one more than the Alabama Crimson Tide.
