Oklahoma football: Dominique Alexander declares for 2016 NFL Draft

NORMAN — Oklahoma junior linebacker Dominique Alexander has declared for the 2016 NFL Draft, he announced Saturday morning on Twitter.

Alexander has led OU in tackles the last two seasons. The Tulsa Washington product entered the starting lineup midway through his true freshman season after senior Corey Nelson suffered a season ending injury.

For his career, Alexander recorded 290 tackles, four sacks and one interception.

Alexander is the second OU player to announce that he will forgo his final season of eligibility. Cornerback Zack Sanchez made his announcement Friday morning.
