Oklahoma football: Defensive tackle Charles Walker hopes this is his 'last spring'

NORMAN — Oklahoma junior defensive tackle Charles Walker is hopeful that this season could be his last one in college.

Walker, who was tied for second on the team last season with 10 tackles for loss and third with six sacks, told reporters after Tuesday’s spring practice that he hopes to be ready for the NFL after next season.

The reason? His young daugther.

“I’m trying to make this my last spring, last summer, last fall so I can provide for her,” Walker said.

Walker missed the Sooners’ Orange Bowl loss to Clemson because of a concussion suffered in practice that week.
