NORMAN — Oklahoma defensive line coach Diron Reynolds will not return to the team next season and is expected to accept the same job at Stanford, according to multiple reports.
Reynolds was Stanford’s assistant defensive line coach before replacing Jerry Montgomery on Oklahoma’s staff last February. This is the second year in a row that Oklahoma has lost its defensive line coach after national signing day.
Stanford defensive line coach Randy Hart announced his retirement Tuesday after 46 years as a coach. Reynolds worked under him during his time at Stanford.
The Oklahoma defensive line had a strong season in 2015 and played a major role in the Sooners’ Big 12 championship and College Football Playoff berth.
