Oklahoma Football: Defensive Line Coach Diron Reynolds Is Leaving

Reynolds joined the Oklahoma coaching staff about this time last season. He replaced Jerry Montgomery, who left after two seasons with the Sooners to take a job with the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League.

Reynolds came to OU from Stanford, and that is the school he is heading back to. The primary reason for his departure, 247Sports is reporting, is to be with his family. His family remained back in California during his time at Oklahoma.

He was a defensive assistant at Stanford before coming to Oklahoma. Prior to being at Stanford, Reynolds spent time in the NFL with the Indianapolis Colts (2002-06), the Miami Dolphins (2007) and the Minnesota Vikings (2009-13).
