NORMAN — Oklahoma defensive end Charles Tapper was named as the defensive “Senior of the Week” by the Reese’s Senior Bowl, an annual postseason showcase game for the top graduating seniors who will be available in that year’s NFL Draft.
Tapper recorded his sixth sack of the season in last week’s 44-34 win at Baylor, which snapped the Bears’ 20-game home winning streak. All six of Tapper’s sacks this season have come in the last three games.
The Baltimore native and OU team captain has 38 tackles — nine of which were for a loss — this season.
