NORMAN — After the first two plays of the second half at Tennessee, things appeared on the verge of spiraling out of control for Oklahoma. The Sooners already trailed by two touchdowns before the Volunteer offense picked up 31, then 20 yards right out of halftime.
As Tennessee prepared to run its next play from the OU 24-yard line, Sooner coaches sent in Charles Walker to relieve starting defensive tackle Matt Dimon.
Walker blew up an option play, tackling Tennessee quarterback Joshua Dobbs for a six-yard loss. What followed were two incomplete passes and a missed field goal.
