Oklahoma football: CB Jordan Thomas in Grady County jail for failure to appear on speeding ticket

A Grady County jail official confirmed that Oklahoma cornerback Jordan Thomas remained in jail as of 9 a.m. Sunday morning after being booked a day earlier for failure to appear in court following a traffic citation in the summer.

Thomas was originally ticketed by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol in July, according to online court records, for going 94 in a 75 mph zone. He was sent a notice that his license had been suspended Oct. 1 and a warrant was issued Nov. 19 for failure to appear.

SoonerScoop.com initially reported Thomas' booking.

Thomas has been one of the Sooners best defenders this season with five interceptions, four pass breakups and 44 tackles.
