NORMAN — Oklahoma and Clemson met in the Russell Athletic Bowl last season and will play on a much bigger stage this time around, facing off in the College Football Playoffs in the Orange Bowl on Dec. 31 (3 p.m., ESPN).
Much has changed since Clemson's 40-6 blowout of the Sooners in Orlando, but there is still plenty from that game on both sides that is relevant as the teams get ready to meet again.
Here are four things from that game that are relevant a year later:
1. Artavis Scott is still around
Clemson punched the Sooners in the mouth right off the bat, with a swing pass to speedy receiver Artavis Scott on the Tigers' first offensive play.
