NORMAN — Oklahoma released additional details for purchasing the broadcast of Saturday’s season opener against Akron, which kicks off at 6 p.m. on Owen Field.
The game is being televised on pay-per-view because it was not selected for coverage on any of the networks. The game will be carried on Cox, Suddenlink, PTSI, Cim-Tel and Pioneer cable systems in Oklahoma, Texas and Western Arkansas, as well as on national providers DirecTV and AT&T U-Verse.
Pricing will vary by distributor.
In Oklahoma City and Tulsa, the game will be on Cox 502/503. The DirecTV broadcast is on Channel 787/787-1, and the U-Verse channel hasn’t been announced yet.
