Oklahoma dominates Ole Miss in NCAA tournament, advances to second round

Here are five takeaways from Oklahoma's 95-72 win over Ole Miss on Friday:

Hot start

Oklahoma’s NCAA tournament got off to a great start for Lon Kruger's squad. The Sooners opened up a 12-0 run, forcing Ole Miss to call an early timeout. The Rebels were never able to fully recover, as OU’s lead was never below eight for the rest of the game. Kristian Doolittle was the early catalyst, and put up eight points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals in the first half alone. Rashard Odomes led the way with 14 first-half points and was a +22 in that time as well.
