After a disappointing 8-5 season, Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops made several changes to his coaching staff, including removing his brother and defensive coordinator Mike Stoops as the secondary coach.

The Oklahoman's Berry Tramel wrote over the weekend that change from Mike Stoops to new assistant Kerry Cooks is a welcomed adjustment for a secondary that ranked ninth in the Big 12 in pass defense last season.
