NORMAN — Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops addressed the rumors and reports that first-year offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley could be up for a head coaching job in a Wednesday afternoon interview on ESPN Radio Dallas.
In his appearance on "The Afternoon Show with Cowlishaw and Mosley," Stoops discussed his team’s Big 12 championship, its College Football Playoff standing and its response to the Texas loss earlier this season, but was also asked if he believes he’ll be able to retain Riley, who has been connected to head coaching jobs at Memphis and South Carolina in recent days.
“I’m all for my coaches becoming head coaches,” Stoops said in the interview, via the Dallas Morning News.
