Saturday morning, more than 300 runners gathered for their final training run in preparation for the April 26 Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon.
Marathon participation numbers have dipped slightly in recent years with the proliferation of marathons and half marathons around the country.
The numbers for the Oklahoma City race have remained strong, though.
As of Saturday afternoon, a total of 23,003 runners had signed up for the various running events.
Though overall numbers are slightly down from last year, the number of runners signed up for the full marathon — 2,880 — is up slightly.
