Oklahoma basketball: Sooners upset bid comes up short against Iowa State

The Cyclones had an answer for every big OU play in the second half, none bigger than Iowa State guard Marial Shayok’s 3-pointer with 1:18 to go in the game that put his team up for good. Shayok finished with a team-high 16 points in the win for Iowa State.

Oklahoma basketball took a 35-34 lead into halftime, but Iowa State came out swinging out of the locker room with a 9-2 run that the Sooners were never quite able to overcome.

Kristian Doolittle finished with a game-high 19 points, shooting 8-of-13 from the floor. Kristian Doolittle scored 16 and Christian James finished with 10.
