Oklahoma had the best field-goal percentage defense in the country entering Saturday's game against Oral Roberts.
But the Golden Eagles found seams in the Sooners' defense early before OU adjusted and held ORU to just 35.3 percent in the second half in the 96-73 win at Lloyd Noble Center.
“We missed a couple and didn't communicate well,” Buddy Hield said of the Sooners' first-half defense. “We lost track of our man. We needed to do a better job communicating. We fixed it in the second.”
The Golden Eagles hit 16 of their 30 first-half shots.
