A midweek loss at Texas Tech didn't affect Oklahoma's ranking in a meaningful way.
The Sooners remained at No. 3 in the poll released Monday, though Virginia is tied with Oklahoma for the third spot behind No. 1 Villanova and No. 2 Kansas.
The No. 1 Wildcats, who the Sooners beat soundly on a neutral court in December, received 45 first-place votes, while the Jayhawks received the other 20.
Virginia moved up from No. 7 into a tie with Oklahoma at 1,393 points, behind Kansas' 1,580.
Xavier is No. 5, followed by Michigan State, North Carolina, Iowa, Arizona and Maryland.
