The Sooners (18-2) received 45 of 65 first-place votes, with No. 2 North Carolina receiving the other top votes.
After a week that included a home win over Texas Tech and a win at LSU, the Sooners extended their margin slightly (1,605-1,578).
In the USA Today coaches' poll, the Sooners remained No. 2 behind the Tar Heels just six points back (786-780).
Oklahoma received 14 of the 32 first-place votes with all of the other top votes going to UNC.
The Sooners return to action against TCU at 7 p.
