As expected, Oklahoma is atop the college basketball world, at least for a week.
The Sooners are No. 1 in both The Associated Press and the USA Today coaches' polls released Monday, two days after previously No. 2 Oklahoma knocked off No. 11 West Virginia.
Oklahoma (15-1) received all 65 first-place votes in The AP poll. The Sooners were followed by North Carolina, Kansas, Villanova and Xavier.
In the coaches' poll, the Sooners received 26 of 31 first-place votes. No. 2 North Carolina received four votes for the top spot while No. 3 Kansas received the other.
