A pair of Oklahoma assistant coaches will be named head coaches soon, sources told The Oklahoman.
Sooners assistant Lew Hill is set to be named the head coach at Texas Rio Grande Valley. That news was force reported by CBS Sports.
OU head coach Lon Kruger's first head coaching job came at the school when it was known as Texas Pan American.
Hill replaces Dan Hipsher, who was fired in mid-March after an 8-22 season.
Hill has been on Kruger's staff since 2004 at UNLV.
Steve Henson has been with Kruger even longer, playing for him at Kansas State in the 1980s and serving as an assistant under Kruger at UNLV, the Atlanta Hawks and Illinois in addition to his entire tenure at Oklahoma.
