The Cyclones opened the second half hitting seven of their first 10 shots. With Iowa State leading by three points, 50-47, at the 12:59 mark in the second half, the Sooners failed to score over the next three and a half minutes. Meanwhile, the Cyclones rang up 13 unanswered points to open up a 63-47 advantage and basically put the game on ice.
For Oklahoma to have a realistic chance to win this game it had to shoot well, which it did in the opening 20 minutes but was unable to sustain for the entire game.
The win gives Iowa State a sweep of the season series with the Sooners.
