I got home Saturday night from Bedlam, and the Oregon-Arizona basketball game was on ESPN. About three minutes remained in a tight game. Oregon had 64 points. Point guard Payton Pritchard had 38 of those 64 points.
I thought two things. A) Wow, Pritchard still is in college? And B) Wow, Pritchard has 38 points?
I first heard of Pritchard in autumn 2014. He was a high school point guard from West Linn, Oregon, being recruited by OU. Pritchard’s father, Terry, was a star tight end at Moore High School in the 1980s, then signed to play at OU.
