NORMAN — Walking out of his postgame press conference, Lon Kruger raised his eyebrow and lowered his voice.
"The guy's hot, isn't he?" he said.
The Oklahoma coach didn't have to specify who the guy was.
Buddy Hield is on a tear. His scoring. His shooting. His efficiency. All of it is off the charts, just as it was Saturday in an 86-76 victory against Kansas State, and it's becoming so routine the Sooner guard is redefining big game.
In Buddy's world, 30 is the new 20.
"Unbelievable," Kruger said.
Hield scored 31 points on 11 of 14 shooting.
