The Sooners won 19-6 in a blowout in the opening game of the series on Friday at L. Dale Mitchell Park, and followed that by sweeping a doubleheader from West Virginia, 10-2 and 2-1, on Saturday.
Every OU player who went to the plate on Friday had at least one hit as the Sooners erupted for 22 hits supporting starter Jake Irvin, who went seven innings and gave up four runs on five hits with seven strikeouts and improved his season record to 4-0.
Devin Perez and Nathan Wiles also turned in strong pitching performances in Saturday’s doubleheader, combining to allow just three runs on seven hits and with strikeouts.
