Oklahoma baseball dropped an 8-3 decision to Oklahoma State on Friday, eliminating the Sooners from the Big 12 Championship.
The Sooners (31-26), the defending Big 12 Tournament champions, must now wait to find out their postseason fate, which will be determined when the bracket for the 64-team NCAA Baseball Championship is announced on Monday.
In a rematch of the first-round game in the Big 12 Tournament between Bedlam rivals OU and Oklahoma State, which was won by the Sooners 9-5, OSU put up a five-spot in the second inning against Oklahoma starter Will Carsten from which the Sooners were never really able to recover.
