The 18th-ranked Sooners entered its weekend series with Oklahoma State having lost two of three games in each of their past two Big 12 series. Against the in-state-rival Cowboys, Oklahoma made it three for three — losses, that is.
Oklahoma State swept the lifeless Sooners, outscoring OU by a combined score of 27-3 and dropped OU’s Big 12 record to 10-8 (28-18 overall). That’s a far cry from three weeks ago, when Oklahoma owned a record of 8-0 and sat atop the league standings.
Since defeating TCU 6-3 on April 8, the Sooners have gone into a free fall, losing eight of their last 10 conference games.
